Osteria De Gustibus

There are a lot of tourist traps in Taormina and this is not one of them. This osteria has a fantastic menu with dishes that have thought and care put into them. The drinks menu is curated with attention and local wines and beers are offered here which are not found elsewhere. The owner and staff obviously care and their hospitality is genuine and warm. Gustibus is a place that leaves a lasting impression. I ordered the tagliatelle bolognese and had a local pistachio-smoked beer to drink. Would absolutely come back and try the whole menu *****

Impressed with the food. A bit of a hidden restaurant with not much in terms of traffic but the food was very tasty.The meatballs were well seasoned and were soft. The fennel sausage was also delicious

Best restaurant we visited during our 2 week tour of Sicily! Ask for a wine recommendation as you won't be disappointed. We had a red one night and a white the next, and for a 20 bottle in a restaurant, they were both exceptional. The owner/chef is lovely and the food was amazing (great value too). Best gnocchi with gorganzola and walnuts ever.

We came across this gem when looking for a dinner spot, limited tables meant the perfect experience. Our waitress was so lovely, and had several recommendations which were perfectly Sicilian. The meatballs (polpette) where juicy and delicious and the aPork sausage was so authentically Italian! Highly recommended when in Taormina

What a find! Such a lovely place and lovely service. I felt like part of the restaurant family! Foods amazing, the best selection of Sicilian wines at reasonable prices.We went back twice to try everything!

Small, intimate osteria in Taormina that serves some good food which is not concocted for the masses. The mixed grill plate was the standout dish, especially the sausage with fennel. Professional and efficient service.

Osteria from what I understand denotes a more mom and pop family style restaurant. While the ambience inside feels more posh, the atmosphere and service is lot more homely. It’s a great combination. Our server was super sweet and started off with some bread. We then ordered two bruschettas which were RLY GOOD. Then got two pastas. One of the pastas had some interesting flavor and reminded me of an Indian dal like taste whereas the other was more traditional. Food was very tasty!

The food was the best we had on Sicily! The Gnocchi is homemade and melts in your mouth. The Spegahetti Carbinara was creamy and so good.
